Celluloid Film

— We shoot film —
A timeless & classic Medium
Analog Photography
Film is loaded into the camera and the magic begins when the shutter clicks. Light interacts with chemicals in the film and an image is recorded. This comes to life when the film roll is processed and scanned at a photo lab. Modern-day apps and software have mimicked and emulate the effects of film but nothing comes close to the look of true celluloid film. The rich colours, dramatic saturation, and organic film grain add soul and characters to images. They evoke nostalgia and dream-like memories.
At Sloth Creatives we provide 35mm and 120 (Medium Format) photography. We want to capture memories that last a lifetime, let us do it with emotions and depth.
Super 8mm
Motion Picture Film
Kodak released their Super 8 films in the 60's, and with mechanical cameras, this was a game-changer. Families all around the world can now shoot vignettes of their holidays and precious memories. Ever watched a vintage Super 8 clip and it immediately makes you nostalgic. With its natural grain and analog mystique towards this medium, Super 8mm renders motion through specs of silver on celluloid film on resulting in a beautiful and dreamy illusion-esque feel that a digital camera can never achieve.
Digital Cameras and their various looks will eventually phase out, but true analog film has looked the same way since day 1. Making it truly timeless and classic. We currently own the Canon 814XL Electronic & Nizo S480 cameras and variety of Kodak Film Stocks. Our films are then sent overseas to develop, processed and digitized before we add all the goodness into your Wedding Films.
